In theory, the common people should be the main arm of the the government. Decisions should be based on their wants. In reality though, the power belongs to a small portion of people on top of the pyramid. They are called the elites. Wealthy and powerful people who can make the decisions of the government lean or force to their favor. A group of people who can choose how people live their lives and what will be their future.
One thing that makes most people think that the masses have control over the government is election. They choose who they want to lead them. Someone who represents what their wants and needs. It is a good picture but we must know what is behind the picture. How are the advertisements run? Is everything you see really the truth or is it just a product of what the elites want you to see?
How can we tell that they really have control? Look at the uneven wealth distribution. The poor becomes poorer and the wealthy becomes richer. How does that happen? Advertisements on television make you want a need for you to buy products. They target your hearts to do things that will favor them.
Take a look at some statements revealing that there are few people on top composed of the elites:
“The governments of the present day have to deal not merely with other governments, with emperors, kings and ministers, but also with the secret societies which have everywhere their unscrupulous agent, and can at the last moment upset all the governments’ plans.” – British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, 1876. “The powers of financial capitalism had another far reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements, arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was the for International Settlements in Basle, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world’s central banks which were themselves private corporations. The growth of financial capitalism made possible a centralization of world economic control and use of this power for the direct benefit of financiers and the direct injusry of all other economic groups.” – Professor Carroll Quigley of Georgetown University highly esteemed by his former student, William Jefferson Blythe Clinton, in Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time (Macmillan Company, 1966). We live in a world where the wealth is horded by a few instead of distributed evenly. The poor are working hard yet they don’t have a better life as the wealthy few. It’s like they are digging so hard for their own grave.
How can we tell who is composed of the powerful elite? Global domination belongs to major companies and who invests and reinvests. These people own the biggest banks and other firms all over the world.
Making the elite group’s grip on the society is hard to loosen because the mass is not aware of the grip. Most people think everything that is happening is a nature’s flow. It happens because it is bound to happen and not because some people are plotting for it to happen. Making the elite society a society for the mass can be achieved by information dissemination that they truly exist and not just a theory. They are working hard to hide their existence and once they are on broad daylight, it is easy for the mass to bring them down.
